1 From Sketch to Shop Drawings
Share your vision with us. For residential projects, this might be inspired by artwork or personal style. For commercial and hospitality projects, we work with your specifications, brand guidelines, and project requirements. Our design team transforms your concept into detailed technical drawings, showing you how your rug will look in your space. We provide comprehensive technical documentation, including detailed specifications and CAD drawings when needed.
2 Colors Selection
Work with our design experts to select the perfect palette for your space. Whether matching existing design elements or creating a bold new statement, we help you navigate thousands of color options to achieve the perfect balance and harmony. Each color is carefully chosen to ensure visual impact and longevity under your specific lighting and environmental conditions.
3 Selecting Material
Choose from our premium materials, each offering unique properties and characteristics. Silk provides unmatched luxury and luminosity. Bamboo silk offers eco-friendly elegance with a distinctive sheen. Vegetal silk delivers sustainable sophistication with natural brilliance. Viscose creates depth and dimension with its lustrous appearance. New Zealand wool ensures exceptional durability and resilience, perfect for high-traffic commercial installations.
4 Sample
Before full production begins, we create a detailed sample of your design. This crucial step allows you to experience the actual texture, color accuracy, and pattern definition of your future rug. For commercial projects, these samples can be used for client approvals, board presentations, or model room installations.
5 Hand-Tufted Production
Our master artisans bring your design to life through meticulous hand-tufting techniques passed down through generations. Each tuft is precisely placed according to your design specifications, creating textural variations and pattern definition impossible to achieve through machine production. This labor-intensive process ensures every Sarelli Interiors Textiles rug is truly one-of-a-kind, with exceptional quality control maintained throughout the production journey.
Bespoke Rugs & Carpets — What to Expect
Every Sarelli bespoke carpet is made to order in Italy: you choose the size, shape, pattern and palette, and our atelier engineers the rug around your interior — from classic and contemporary styles to fully original artwork. We produce bespoke rugs and carpets for private residences and for hospitality and commercial projects led by interior designers and architects.
How long does a bespoke carpet take?
A standard hand-tufted carpet takes 12 to 16 weeks, depending on square meterage, design complexity and the materials chosen. Intricate patterns alone can require 80–120 hours of hand-tufting per square metre. See the full production timeline.
Which materials can you choose?
